Rotary Club of Gold Beach

Minutes, Board Meeting 21 April 2010

Board Members (in order of succession): John Spicer, Pete Peterson, Gloria Eide, Jeff Davis, Mark Sayler, Mary Stansell (Past/Vice President), Amber Hughes (Treasurer), Deborah Cyparski (Secretary)

The meeting was called to order at the Event Center on the Beach, Showcase Building at 1305. In attendance: Spicer, Peterson, Stansell, Davis, Sayler, Hughes, Cyparski and Emily Francona

• Minutes from the 3/17 and 3/31 meetings were approved as submitted.
• Discussion ensued regarding Angela Haralson's membership status. Ms. Haralson was not aware that she is no longer a member. In January, Angela Haralson was removed as a member for not paying dues and for lack of attendance. It was determined Ms. Haralson needs to be re-proposed for membership.
• Treasurer Hughes reported that due to fundraising changes over the last two years, funds are low. It was recommended to establish an endowment for scholarships. Sayler suggested Rotary Roses.
• Treasurer's report was approved as submitted. Peterson motioned. Davis second.
• Sayler, Peterson and Spicer have formed a Fundraising Committee.
• John Rush, Dugie Freeman, Joel Sumer and John Rice (?) met on 4/8/10 for a program committee meeting.
• Becky Atherton will be selling Rotary Gifts Items at the back of meetings.
• Meeting adjourned at 1320
