CLUB UPDATE: Last week we heard from the President of SouthWest Oregon Community College on the plans for building on the new campus located north of Brookings. Plans are to open in 2011.
MEMBERSHIP MOMENT: We are now eight months into the Rotary year. Have you invited anyone to a meeting? Look around your community; we must all be ready to communicate the benefits of Rotary. Many times that potential member is right in front of us, too close for us to see - the hotel manager, the consultant that works at home, co-workers, the restaurant owner, the franchise owner or your partner. Don't be stingy share Rotary.
FOUNDATION UPDATE: To date 19 members have contributed to the Rotary Foundation! This would be 43% of our membership. Our annual goal is $4400 and we have reached 45% of our Annual Goal! Let's reach our 100%.

Rashed's Going Away Party will be this coming Saturday, February 13, at 6:00 PM at the Gold Rush Building. "What a ride this has been. It will be three months that Rashed has been with us here in America helping us share our story of what we are doing in Ghana, west Africa. We have learned so much from him, made some amazing music, finished the documentary Just a Drop and created our next project "Ripple Effect" for the years 2010/2011. We will sadly say goodbye to Rashed this night with an event in the beautiful lobby of the Gold Rush building in Gold Beach, Oregon. There will be live music and more activities to be announced." Tony & Teri Lynn
Next week Rashed will join us at our Lunch meeting where we will present him as an Honorary Member.
