CLUB UPDATE: Last week we had a very important Club Assembly. We also brainstormed about fundraising ideas and talked about the importance of membership. Following the meeting Amy and Lisa attended the High on Health Fundraiser meeting as representatives of our club. Don't expect them do this alone, help by donating items to the auction, and ask them what else is needed to make this very important fundraiser a success.

MEMBERSHIP MOMENT: We are now three months into the Rotary year. Have you invited anyone to a meeting? Look around your community; we must all be ready to communicate the benefits of Rotary. Many times that potential member is right in front of us, too close for us to see - the hotel manager, the consultant that works at home, co-workers, the restaurant owner, the franchise owner or your partner. Don't be stingy share Rotary.

PROPOSED NEW MEMBERS: 2nd noticeSandy Vieira, GB Chamber of Commerce.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE ROTARY MANUAL OF PROCEDURE REGARDING POLITICS AND ROTARY: The merits of any public question involving the general welfare of the community, the nation, and the world are of concern to club members and are proper subjects of fair and informed study and discussion at a club meeting for the enlightenment of members in forming individual opinions. However, clubs shall not express an opinion on any pending controversial public measure. Clubs shall not endorse or recommend any candidate for public office and shall not discuss at any club meeting the merits or demerits of any such candidate. Clubs shall not adopt or circulate resolutions or opinions, and shall not take action dealing with world affairs or international policies of a political nature. Clubs shall not appeal to other clubs, peoples, or governments, or circulate letters, speeches, or proposed plans for the solution of specific political problems.
