This year's proceeds will support the Children's Dental Health Initiative. Proceeds from the silent and live auctions will be matched by the Oregon Community Foundation to help fund an important dental treatment program for children in grades K-3 on Curry County without dental insurance.

FOUNDATION UPDATE: "Every Rotarian Every Year" Remember your donation to the Rotary Foundation is Tax Deductible!

MEMBERSHIP MOMENT: Do you know a young professional? Bring them to a meeting or better yet, create a list and bring a group of young professionals to a meeting. Like ages attract, make your program one that is of interest to them. Recruit, recruit!!! Expose your club to a younger point of view.

PREGNANT AT 62: A woman went to the doctor's office where she was seen by one of the younger doctors. After about 4 minutes in the examination room, she burst out screaming as she ran down the hall. An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was, and she told him her story. After listening, he had her sit down and relax in another room. The older doctor marched down the hallway back to where the young doctor was writing on his clipboard. What's the matter with you?" the older doctor demanded. "Mrs. Terry is 62 years old, has four grown children and seven grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?" The younger doctor continued writing and without looking up said, "Does she still have the hiccups?"

MEMBERSHIP MOMENT: Stop a moment .... think about that one and only one person that you know would be a good Rotarian. Invite them to your next meeting; give them the opportunity to sample what Rotary is all about and if you decide to propose them, DO NOT TELL THEM THAT THEY HAVE BEEN PROPOSED!

PROPOSED NEW MEMBERS - 2nd Publish - Tim Wilson, Carolyn Cronberger.

COL. ROGER DAVIS - Roger passed away on February 15. Roger was very dedicated to our community and will be sadly missed, he was a member of our club since 1993 and served as President in 2002-2003. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Curry Health Foundation or Curry Home Heath and Hospice.

CLUB UPDATE: Last week we heard from Jami Sutter about her trip to Haiti last year. Jami and her family are now working towards adopting an orphan from Haiti, an undertaking that was supposed to take 2-3 years and now due to the recent earthquake the process is speeding up. This Saturday Jami's book club is hosting a fundraiser to assist the family with the cost of the adoption. Please join them at the Pistol River Friendship Hall, 6PM for a Lasagna dinner, auction and dancing. Cost is $10 per person, $20 per family. Any questions please talk to Mary Stansell.

MEMBERSHIP MOMENT: Members are required to attend at least 50% of club meetings in each half of the year and at least 30% of their own club's meetings in each half of the year. A missed meeting may be made up by attending a board meeting, a committee meeting or another club within 14 days before or after a missed meeting. Make-ups can be fun and enjoyable. You never fail to meet interesting new faces at other clubs and often run into friends you didn't know were Rotarian's, much less members of the particular club.

Do a makeup, meet a new friend.

Rashed's last day with us is today. It has been a whirlwind for Tony and Terri Lynn and we appreciate all they have accomplished with "Just a Drop" and now the "Ripple Effect". Our thanks to all of you!
